A simple technique: style your ul and container to your liking.
The CSS is pretty straight forward, but maybe a little tip on how to get the 3D color effect comes in handy.
The 3D effect in operating systems is caused by a imaginary light source coming from the top left hand corner of the desktop. Once you know this, the trick to get your CSS buttons a 3D effect is simple: create the border edges with top and left being a little lighter than the button, and right and bottom being a little darker.
