Red alert - templates no longer downloadable at the moment · CSS · / 30 10 2004 - 00:15

A visitor on my site alerted me that my templates aren’t downloadable anymore.

Indeed, if you want to download them, you are redirected to a blank page. It turns out that my script is corrupted so now i’m desperately trying to fix it.

I want to apologize to all who couldn’t get the files but i promise i’ll try to have them back up as soon as possible!!!

Finally: no more glasses · Small talk · / 28 10 2004 - 18:50

Well, today was D-day. I had my eye operation and it went smooth.

The procedure itself was painless and took about 20 minutes. According to the doc it was a 100% success so i had high hopes :-)

After the procedure, suddenly my eyes fell shut and i couldn’t open them anymore lol. Because my driver was waiting in another part of the hospital and my eyes fell shut after leaving the part of the hospital where i had the procedure i had to stumble like an idiot along the hallway :-)

When i got home there was only one thing to do and that was lying down and get some sleep. After a few hours my eyes were back to normal and i could open them again. And wow! The effect kicked in: perfect eyesight again!

It’s amazing how modern technollogy can help us!

A test? · Small talk · / 25 10 2004 - 01:08

At the moment i’m reading “The Family : The Real Story of the Bush Dynasty” by Kitty Kelley. Jeez, i’m speachless. This should be mandatory reading material to open up your eyes come november 2nd!

To me november 2nd will be indeed a test: a test to see how intelligent you Americans really are.

Is it possible to remain anonymous and untraceable on the Web? Yes it is? · Pc talk · / 23 10 2004 - 00:46

Okay, so you want to access a website or service but you know that, by submitting your email address, you’re gambling with your privacy.

An increasing number of websites and web-based services require registration before you can enter their content.

But what to do if you want/should be carefull about your privacy?
Using some bogus hotmail account or something of the likes?

Okay, but that still leaves you with the password problem, not to mention your IP address.

No need to worry, there is a solution to let you completely surf anonymous and untraceable.

My friend Darkblue has written an outstanding article about it. It offers a complete and easy solution.

Heads up for Mac users · Small talk · / 21 10 2004 - 19:28

“DOS computers manufactured by companies such as IBM, Compaq, Tandy, and millions of others are by far the most popular, with about 70 million machines in use worldwide. Macintosh fans, on the other hand, may note that cockroaches are far more numerous than humans, and that numbers alone do not denote a higher life form.”

Finally! My long overdue holliday is coming up!!!! · Small talk · / 18 10 2004 - 22:17

Phew! Today i payed my tickets for my long overdue holliday. Come Christmas, i’m out of here!!!

Where to? To the place i lost my heart to: Brasil!

How long? Two, yeah that is TWO, %$$%%% months!!!!!!
Read it and weap lol.

I haven’t had a decent holliday in 4 years and now my number is up. So long to the boring job for 2 months!!

The “downside” is that i have to finish up all my work projects before i leave, so i’m working against the clock 7/7, 19 hours a day. But hey, it’s worth it..

If i get real lucky and find a decent job over there… i won’t be even thinking of returning!

Ahhh, two months of partying, beautifull girls, sun,....

Oh, and i’m not going to take my laptop with me… yes: i’m going to be without cyberspace. I’ll only check my webmail but that’s it. Back to the roots folks :-)

Unbelievable huh?

A day at the hospital · Small talk · / 15 10 2004 - 21:19

Today i spent my morning at the hospital. Now, like most of us it’s not something i’m willing to do but in this case i was actually eager to go.

After some long consideration i decided to have my eyes operated. I’m wearing glasses for several years now and i’m just fed up with them. They always seem to get in the way, you loose them, you brake them … and it just is plain ugly to have that thing stuck on your face. No matter how designer looking they are.

So i decided to get rid of them once and for all. Made an appointment to have an operation with a laser technique. And today i had my preliminary tests to see if it would be of any help. The doc gave me the green light and come 28th this month it’s D-day! A one hour procedure and it’s bye bye to the glasses -)

It will set me back for a couple of thousand bucks but i’m willing to spend that. If i calculate what my glasses already have cost me….
