Well, it seems i’m gonna chuck that sorry lot out of the window. After adding all my entries manual, i started to add the comments. Well, “started” is a bit of un overstatement. When i tried to acces the comments file, i got a php parse error so i had to fix that first (great templates they provide you with). And after fixing it i was staring at a big fat MySql DB error which is driving me nuts. So i went to the WP forum but it seems nobody can help me out. So i guess i’ll head over to Textpattern and give that a try. Damned, all that wasted time …...

Jeez, am i getting pissed: because of the reasons stated in my previous choice i’m left with some bad choices: stop bloggin’ until everything is migrated or just posting the same thing twice!!

Mmmm, maybe i should start a lawsuit for severe emotional stress ;-)

Well, i have Wordpress set up (finally). It took me some time because i had a bunch of other stuff to attend to. Because i’m using b2 at the moment, i thought it would be fairly simple to get my entries into WP. After all, they advert that WP imports from b2. Yeah well, just forget that! After going through the forum tread about it, it was pretty clear that this was just not going to happen. One guy posted a solution but in the end it didn’t work for me.

So now i’m left with the hideous task to copy and paste each entry and comment into WP and editing the time stamps!

And no, i can’t make my own CMS :-(

I’m a bit of a php idiot so….

I’m subscribed to quite a few forums, discussion lists etc. Quite often i see in replies peeps closing with “just my 2 cents”. Now is it just me, but i always shake my head when reading it. It sounds so stupid ..

My 2 cents of what? 2 cents of your opinion? Is your opinion expressed in dollars? And if it’s some eurodude it becomes “just my 2 eurocents”. What’s next? “just my 2 yencents”?

What ever happened to the normal, plain “just my opinion”?
