Welcome to my blog
Finally something new ·
CSS ·

I just made a template with an animated menu. The menu doesn't use java script or something fancy like that: just plain css. The trick i used is an animated gif as a background on the link states.
You can find the template
here. It's called "Animated Navigation".
If you only need to see the navigation, i also placed it in the
Laboratory section. Just click the link "Menu" at the bottom of the page.

Why would you learn CSS ·
CSS ·

I came across an interesting article called "Top 10 reasons to learn CSS".
It's an interview with Christopher Schmitt. He is talking about why it matters to learn CSS. Although the first page of the interview outlines the 10 reasons, the interview goes into helpful insight about CSS, why it matters, how easy it is to use, and Schmitt's thoughts on CSS implementation.
You can read it
here.
Tiresome week ·

Phew, had a tiresome week. A lot of stuff going on at the job so i didn\'t had time left to add something to the site, even to the blog :-(
But things seem to be kewling down now, so i can get back on track.

Big problem solved ·
CSS ·

i was adjusting my tools on my site, trying to make the lay out flexible and when i was done, oh horror! My links weren't clickable anymore. After some testing it became clear that the culprit was a container i wrapped around the whole stuff: it covered the links so ...
But how to find a solution?
Actually it was real simple: just float the left content to the left and the right content to the right. That easy. Of course, me being more asleep then awake this weekend couldn't come up with this o so ingenious thing lol.
All credits have to go to "trx", somebody who's name already popped up a few times in this blog :-)

After some considering, i decided to add a guest book to my site. It's fully php driven and looks quite nice, so i'd appreciate your comments :-)

You might have read this already but it is now possible to have multiple IE's on one system without having IE overriding another version. How to set it up? Hop over to

Wondering why this is discovered just recently? Then hop over to

Problems with my newsfeed ·
Small talk ·
/ 10 11 2003 - 00:30
I received a message today from Nick Bradbury (the guy who gave us
TopStyle) saying that my newsfeed returned all my entries, hence it was heavy on the bandwith. Turned out i had it linked to the wrong file. It now only returns the latest 7 entries.
Tnx Nick for stating that :-)

Fine tuned the layout ·
CSS ·

A few days ago i realized that the gap on my pages between the main content and the right column was getting bigger and bigger depending on the screen res. The problem was that the right column was sticking to the right side of the viewport but the main content stayed put. This caused a not so nice position of it all. But tnx to my good Css guru "trx" i managed to solve the problem. I'll upload everything after i get some sleep :-)
I tell you, that guy is just amazing with Css. Trx, if you should read this: you're a lifesaver :-D
